I do want to suggest the users to update the firmware as I did. I parked it in the parking lot of grocery store and turned this feature on. Lane departure, front collision, gps (which precisely tracks your vehicle location in real time), speed, etc. The dash cam comes with ton loads of features. The app works amazing in both the platforms (Mac has yet to be tried). I have installed the Dash Cam Viewer on my PC, smartphone and will be doing it on my Mac as well. Due to the pandemic, out of boredom, I had it installed in my new Porsche. I did not even bother checking if the item is undamaged and consistent with what was marketed. I purchased this dash cam more than a year ago but never opened the packaging. I am a software developer and literally appalled at so many negative reviews. It will ask for permission for location service as well as access to network. Once WiFi is connected, start the DashCam viewer app. Then go to iPhone WiFi setting and look for Thinkware WiFi. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings.Īfter above steps, power on F770 and activate WiFi. Reset F770 by holding the Format + Rec buttons together for a few second until the camera starts beeping.ģ. Delete Dash Cam Viewer app and reinstallĢ. I thought I should share here for people who have trouble with ios14.1ġ. With the help of Blackboxmycar where I purchased my Thinkware F770, I was able to get the app connected with the unit. Now ios14 is out and the app will not connect again. Original post: It took awhile for company to catch up with ios13 support. * Please contact if you encounter any problems with this app. The functions and usability may differ according to each dash cam model. ▶ Thinkware Dashcam Mobile Viewer is designed for X350 / F750 / F770 / FA700. ▶ Please change the password after the initial connection. ▶ Downloaded videos can be moved to photo Library. ▶ Dash cam videos can be played via streaming. ▶ Watch real time video with live viewer when your mobile device is connected with Dash Cam. Mechanically fix (replace?) the USB port(s) (via Tesla Service). Leave it overnight for car to fully re-boot. (Save current videos, if needed, and) Re-format the USB drive (must be in "FAT32" format) and make sure the required directory ("TeslaCam") is present. Make sure the hardware (USB cable and USB drive) works by testing it on another device or substituting different hardware. Unplug and re-plug-in the cable to the USB drive. For some cars the answer seems to be among these: I have seen reports/posts of problems with the USB data ports in various models, but so far I haven't found a solution that fixes the problem in my car. Meanwhile, I have started a thread on the Tesla Motors Club forum: I have a mobile repair appointment for January 19th. Instead Service may have to re-install an earlier software version, which I kind of don't want to do. If that is true, Tesla Service probably won't be able to mechanically fix the problem (by replacing hardware). I suspect, but do not know for sure, that the problem originated with the holiday software update. My USB drive apparently stopped working around December 24, 2021. Sentry Mode still engages (red dot appears, which is partly why I didn't notice the problem until yesterday).Įverything worked great before, from April to December 2021. Meanwhile, the two power-only USB ports are still working. So my USB drive (a Samsung Pro SSD) won't work.Īnd I can't play music (on iPod or iPhone).Īnd the USB data ports won't charge a device. The two power + data USB ports have stopped working. Mine is an early 2021 Model X (not "refreshed").
